i am being hounded by a debt collection agency on behalf of the child support agency how can i stop this?

i have been out of work for the past year but the csa has been charging me as if i was still working now they now say my payments are nill but have already passed that debt to a collection agency when i get intouch with the debt collection agency they dont care what the csa says and that they just want the money i am at my wits end as i am on income support HOW CAN I STOP THE DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY HOUNDING ME FOR MONEY I DONT HAVE
I am looking after my very sick girlfriend and she needs 24/7 care i dont have any spare time to get a job i hade to give up a very good job to do this
i am in the uk and i am glad i dont live in U.S i have my children for every weekend and every holiday me and my ex wife are still good friends in total i have my over 301 days a year so i do my best as far as my kids are concernd i buy them anything they need so ask for more details before you judge me i am doing the best i can
