How To Pay Down Debt

My husband and I have been married for a year now. When we met and dated (over a year) when my husband was out of the army. Everything was fine while we were dating- and I was supporting him- but since he has been back in the army he has completely changed. He has been stationed in TX for the past year and I left my job, family, car, and apartment to move down to TX with him. We got married because I got pregnant and I had a miscarriage in the begining of my second trimester. (I have no way to prove it but he didn’t get me on tricare till I had lost the baby and I firmly believe that I would know more about why I lost the baby if I had more pre-natal care). Now he says that he wants a divorce because “it would be best for both of us”. Again I have no way of proving this but I have a strong feeling that he is cheating (he doesn’t come home on weekend nights and I have heard plenty of rumors). He belittles me verbally, every time he looses his temper. He has been arrested for abusing me physically. (Unfortunately I have been arrested in the past year on the same charge. On christmas day when he abused me physically I scratched him back in self defense. He had been drinking a lot and he told the cops as much. He tried to drink and drive and I took away and hid his keys since he already has a DUI on his record. The cops who responded to my call to 911 said that since I prevented him from leaving by taking the keys that I was the agressor in the incident, and thus I spent Christmas Day in jail. I have made peace with that incident and I am completely willing to move on). Since then the same cop responded to another call to our house when he hurt me at the end of March, where my husband was arrested. I am pressing charges against him and I am due to met the prosecutor over the next two weeks. I know I need to seek legal counsel and I am working on finding a competent lawyer. In the meantime I was wondering if anyone had information on whether or not I qualify for spousal support. We do not have any children togeather. The other thing I was wondering about was how much of my credit card debt is he responsible for if none of the credit cards are in his name? I only ask because he uses my credit cards freely and TX is a common property state. Also an I entitled to half his car even if it is in his name?
